The Altitude project replaced a parking lot on the corner of Cathcart and University streets, a stone's throw from Place Ville-Marie.

The skyscraper is a luxury condo building, a prestige project that offers the same kinds of services as hotels, such as swimming pool, spa, sports center, lounge, restaurant, business center, conference room, security guard, valet and doorman services, concierge and reception area.

The project was led by Groupe Daca, who acted as developers and builders, with plans by Groupe Jean-Pierre Lagacé Archutectes and design by Nicoles Vekemans. Nicolet Chartrand, Knoll (NCK), who worked on the Louvre Pyramid project among others, acted as structural engineers, while Bouthillette Parizeau (BPA) were the building's mechanical engineers. Penthouses of up to 3,000 sq. ft. will occupy the top three floors, while the lower floors will be occupied by condos of 844 sq. ft. and more.
